It’s hard to see the beauty in nature sometimes, especially in the Winter. Often when the ground is covered with blankets of white snow and ice crystals hanging from trees it’s easy to admire the beauty that Winter holds. But when the snow is gone and the grounds are barren, where is the beauty then? It can be hard to see the beauty in nature during this time and not everyone can see it. I admit it, it can be easy to miss if you aren’t looking close enough. But, beauty is there just like it always is. It may be hidden and tucked away but if you look hard enough you will see it. This is one of my favorite times to photograph nature and that is because it isn’t easy and it challenges me. It forces me to look past what I normally would think to photograph and I find myself in areas I wouldn’t normally be. Standing inside a circle of pine trees, on the ground looking for that one plant, peeking inside a thorny bush to find that one single bloom. It’s not always easy finding beautiful things to photograph but I love the challenge and love the photos I come up with even more because of it.
