My 3 Favorite Money Making Apps
I think everyone loves to make a little bit of extra money when they can and better yet save money on items they already plan to purchase. I have 3 apps that I personally use on my phone that I either make money with or save money with on a regular basis. Today I want to share those apps with you so you can do the same!
I gave up full time couponing years ago and although I still use physical coupons from time to time, I have found that there are easier and better ways to coupon. This is where Ibotta comes in. Ibotta is an app that lets you earn money back for certain purchases at certain stores. All you need to do is download the app on your phone and sign up for a free account with Ibotta. It’s that simple! Search through the rebates being offered and select the items you are interested in. Go shopping and snap a photo of your receipt and the bar codes of those items you selected and you are done! It literally takes seconds. What I love the most about Ibotta is I never have to worry if I forgot a coupon at home because my phone is always with me. I am also able to adjust my meal plan at the store if I find something on sale and there is a rebate for it as well. Ibotta is a quick, easy and painless way to “coupon.”
WALMART SAVINGS CATCHER
The savings catcher app is by far one of my favorite apps for grocery shopping. It is quick and easy and results show up within 72 hours. All you need to do is download the app and sign up for a Walmart account. Do your shopping at any Walmart store and then scan your receipts into the app. This app then compares Walmart prices to its competitors prices and gives you the price difference of any item it finds. I easily make at least $10 a week using this app. The money you earn can then be transferred to an e-gift card. Personally I love this because I shop at Walmart once a week and the money I earn with the app I can use towards future grocery shopping trips.
One of my favorite ways to make extra cash is selling items we no longer need. While I still sell on Facebook yardsale groups I find it takes more time to post the photos and write everything out. And I have had a good bit of no shows or people who back out of a deal on Facebook more often than OfferUp. So how does it work? I actually have an entire video dedicated to OfferUp and the ins and outs of the app. First you need to download the app to your phone and then make an account with OfferUp. What is great about this app is that it lets you take photos and post your item for sale straight from your phone. Choose the photos you want to use, write a quick description of what you are selling and you are good to go. I also love that you can choose if you want the item to be a firm price or if you are willing to take an offer on that item. One thing that sets this app apart from others is the message feature. I am able to message a seller and ask a question about the item they are selling. Everyone always responds back in a couple of minutes. Face it, we all have our phones strapped to us so it is easy to type back a quick reply on our phone.
Do you have a favorite app that helps make you money? I would love to hear from you!
